I have a very sturdy and high-quality wooden hat stand from my grandfather. The problem is that it's very old and the color is almost gone, it has a lot of scratches so i want to completely restore it. First off, do i need to scrape or sand it, or both? Second, do i need a primer or i should go directly with paint? And last but not least, what type of color i should use, water based or oil based? A lot of questions i know
but i want to make this hat stand perfect
