Holzstar TF190SE vs Holzmann FS200S – spindle runout and real precision?

I am comparing two spindle moulders: Holzstar TF190SE (230V) and Holzmann FS200S (230V).

On paper, they appear almost identical:

  • 30 mm spindle
  • 4 speeds (1800–9000 rpm)
  • tilting spindle (-5° to +30°)
  • similar table size (~710 × 640 mm)
  • similar weight (~170 kg)

The only clear difference is motor power (Holzmann slightly higher).

However, I am interested in actual precision, not specifications.

Questions:

  1. Has anyone measured spindle runout (TIR) on either machine (in mm)?
  2. Any experience with axial play or bearing stability under load?
  3. Does one brand show more variation between machines?
  4. How stable is the fence under pressure when doing joinery (e.g. lock miter)?
  5. Do they require significant setup/adjustment out of the box?

I am mainly doing joinery (hardwood, e.g. oak, lock miter joints), so repeatability and precision are critical.

Kind regards
Karsten
