I recently picked up a beautiful slab of reclaimed teak for a custom table project. Loved the character in the wood, nail holes, patina, all that good stuff but after a few weeks in the shop, I noticed the table top starting to warp slightly on one end, so now I know teak is oily and generally stable, but maybe the reclaimed nature is throwing things off? I stored it flat, no direct sun, and was letting it acclimate before sealing it up.
I don't know if anyone has come across something similar before and does this happen, like a common thing? , need to hear thoughts before I commit to a finish.
