Injury

My friends, I just want to ask if you have had any injuries that made you retire from climbing (no more woodwork for me now, too, I guess). My left ring finger has been obliterated (exaggerated but quite true considering I only got 30% of ligament undamaged and 75% bone remaining). Other fingers suffered, too. Now, the surgeon says I cannot grip anymore. This is the saddest day of my life. I want to learn from you guys how I can surpass this.
 
yoo, really sorry to hear that, that's a tough blow. had a friend who had some tendon issues that sidelined him for a while, not as severe, but I can relate to the pain of losing something you love. What helped was staying connected through route setting, mentoring, even climbing photography. It's not the same, but it definitely helped him heal mentally, so yeah hang in there, you're not alone.
