Hello everyone,

I'm new here and looking for some guidance. I've recently inherited my late father's woodturning equipment, which has been stored in a garage for about 4 years and has developed some rust.

The main piece is a Record CL5 12x15 lathe, along with various tools, accessories, and related items. As I'm not knowledgeable about woodturning myself, I'm unsure of the best way to approach selling it. I'd love for it to go to a good home.

I want to be respectful of forum rules and am not posting this as a sales ad. At this stage, I'm just hoping for advice on the most appropriate way to proceed, and where people usually recommend selling equipment like this.

Many thanks for your help and understanding.

Rebecca

I used a CL5 lathe too, my uncle gave it to me when he stopped woodworking. It's a good machine for learning and small projects. If you want to sell it, you can try the Woodcraft Classifieds - Buy, Sell & Trade section in this forum. People here can help with pricing too. That's nice that you're taking care of it!

@Gingabex before listing, a quick light cleaning of the rust makes a big difference for buyers. How's it going so far now?
