I am planning an art installation soon. I make all sorts of craft but this is the first time I'm getting into woodcraft for my release. Last time was with fabric, silk and tulle. Now my theme is finding beauty in brokenness, and weathered wood are a perfect subject. My question: how's it possible to preserve it? I'm wary about water and all the insects that might grow or fungi or something if I use it raw and unpreserved for my 3-day installation. All suggestions are welcome.
