Glue for jewelry box

Spending the last few weekends slowly piecing together a small maple and walnut jewelry box as a gift for my sister’s upcoming birthday. I've cut the panel making sure the edges are clean, and the dovetails actually fit better than I expected (after a few failed test joints). But now I dont know what glue best to use. This box will probably be kept indoors as she sees fit, but I want the joints to hold up for years without risking glue squeeze out staining the lighter maple. I also plan to sand and oil finish everything afterward, so cleanup matters on this one

For a project like that, a good quality PVA like titebond original works great and give you plenty of open time, dries strong, and cleans up easily with a damp cloth before it sets, just be careful not to overdo the glue

@Fest0h liquid hide glue would be perfect for that

Titebond II would be my suggestion.
