A little tricky question

Wife had some ideas for decorations at home (she's also a diy kinda person) and requested some wood rounds. And of course, instead of buying i'm gonna make them myself, cuz why choose the easy way, right? All i'm asking here is can i dry the wood rounds without splitting? Some of them are going to be pretty large and others smaller. I'm really into experimenting but not sure what the end result will be. The "Dumb ways to die" song is not my fave so yeah, a little help would be appreciated

dear dear, to avoid splits, seal the ends (anchor seal, glue, or wax) and dry them slowly in a cool, shaded spot, see cracks might still happen, but this gives you the best shot

Props to you for making it instead of buying because really, where's the fun in that? Why get hands if you ain't using em? Kidding. I do that too but usually I weigh the costs if my exhaustion would be ROI-d or not.

Haha, I really love that DIY vibe.it's such a blast compared to just buying things! To prevent your wood rounds from cracking, make sure to seal the ends right after you cut them (Anchorseal or wax does the trick), and then let them dry slowly in a cool, shaded area. Stay away from direct sunlight and don't rush the process,cracks thrive on impatience. Here's hoping they stay crack-free and stress-free
